WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A PERSON DIES?

Updated: Mar 10

The question that perhaps every person asks most, since they become aware, is what happens when we die? Even as a small child, when we first realize it, we are overwhelmed by the deep pain of knowing that our parents will eventually be gone, and we try to define death, asking questions, trying to understand what will happen next. As we grow up, the path of life we walk begins to take a different shape as our surroundings expand.

We find ourselves applying the rules life presents us with, running after the hustle and bustle. Sometimes, we stop and try to understand, while other times we get lost in the midst of that hustle. We live and witness thousands of different life stories. But whatever we do, our subconscious keeps asking that question. It continues to work, perhaps until we realize that we were created to find the answer to that question. Of course, could this be a question in itself? Why were we created? When surrounded by billions of people, a continuing order, and so much complexity, trying to understand this question, it would not be strange to feel that a superior intelligence created all of this. The body we carry is so perfect, what else could a person think? If nothing matters, then everything matters. Or as Mevlana said, "I am everything, and I am nothing," it just came to my mind.

If I must complete this journey called life, then I need time and, most importantly, to get to know many people, and it's expected that I will derive meaning from the moments I live. After one question is asked, many more may follow. What do I need to find the right question to open my path? Sometimes we can liken this to a puzzle, a chess game, or even a maze we have to get out of. Sometimes we win the game, sometimes we lose, but no matter what, something will come out in the end. Can we comment on whether winning is good or losing is good? Whatever we think, something will definitely come out, and the result is inevitable.

Among thousands of teachings and pieces of knowledge, can we as humans know what we will extract and eventually find the answer to that question? How will we choose? By reading, watching, asking, or gaining experience through living? All of them? Can the answer to one question give birth to another? Should I get tired and stop asking questions, or am I freeing myself through the questions as I pass through them?

It may be a very individual answer, so perhaps everyone should ask themselves, maybe even their hearts, because it may be that the most accurate answer comes from there. Scientific articles also suggest that the frequency of the heart works ten times more than that of the brain… Does everyone find the answer to their question through their own effort, or is that superior intelligence helping them? Who knows, perhaps in the near future, we will be able to understand the answers to these questions more easily...
