TRANSFORMATION

Sometimes, we struggle to transform an aspect of ourselves that we are already aware of.
To give an example from my own experience, I have a personality that believes it can control everything. Knowing that controlling everything is impossible, realizing that this state is far from surrender, and being aware that balance is needed—none of this is enough for that aspect of me to transform.
Awareness is a valuable concept and the first step of transformation.
But it is only a very small part of the process.
We often find ourselves stuck between ‘knowing’ and ‘being.’
Even though we are aware, we feel the pain and struggle of not yet embodying that awareness.
Sometimes, we remain in this limbo for a very long time.
We work on ourselves, reflect on the matter, and try to deepen our understanding of the aspect we wish to transform.
At times, after a certain amount of effort, we believe we have evolved into a better version of ourselves.
And at times, life presents us with situations that reveal we haven’t actually made much progress at all.
Life keeps flowing…
And we continue to witness what life shows us, striving and putting in the effort for our own growth.
Sometimes, a sense of hopelessness fills us, making us believe we will never be able to change.
And sometimes, we remember that as long as we breathe, there is always hope.
Sometimes, we hate that part of ourselves.
And sometimes, we embrace it with compassion.
Understanding can come instantly for some matters,
But for deeply rooted aspects of our identity, transformation can take much longer.
That’s why humans progress step by step—They crawl forward.
And even when they feel like they haven’t moved an inch, in reality, they have transformed into a completely different person in other aspects compared to who they were just a few years ago.
This is what we need to remember.
