THE AUTHORITY WITHIN ME

Updated: Mar 10

As time passed, within the infinite realm of awareness inside me, I unknowingly established a state built upon countless thoughts—big and small, negative and positive, emotional and emotionless.

I placed the most dominant one at the top—the one with the deepest emotions, the loudest voice.

And so, a tiny thought within me became a grand authority.

Seeing that it was not being watched, this authoritarian thought seized control.

With this power, whenever any other thought arose in my mind or whenever I attempted to take action,it spoke up, declaring itself as "I am your awareness."

It silenced past-related thoughts with a “what if,”Sometimes, it indulged in long conversations with a “thank goodness,”It took control over all other thoughts.

With regrets, gratitudes, sighs, and laments,it managed to hold all its strength within the mind.

Exhausted by this overpowering force, the rest of the thoughts begged for silence.

But the authority refused to quiet down; instead, it used its power to silence others, yelling with all its might:

"BE QUIEEEEET!"

It scared and suppressed the other thoughts into submission.

Yet, while ordering others to be silent, it was too arrogant to hear its own voice.

What could it do? It too had been blinded by power, misunderstood everything, misunderstood and thus misinterpreted. It forgot that it was just another thought, mistaking itself for awareness, mistaking constant control for attention.

Thinking,"I AM attention! I AM everything!"this authoritarian thought convinced itself that it had the right to interfere with all thoughts.

But no matter how strong a thought may be, its power is limited.Eventually, the mind it clings to will grow tired.

And so, one day, our authority weakened.Even if it didn’t want to admit it, it grew weary.

As it tired, it began losing control over the other thoughts.

Sensing an opportunity, the other thoughts revolted.A rebellion erupted within the mind.

Meanwhile, the body—belonging to this mind—became ill. With all its energy focused on suppressing the inner rebellion,it became weak and drained.

And the mind?

The voices of battle-worn thoughts grew quieter,and quieter…and quieter…

Until finally, they all fell silent.A vast stillness settled in.

And in that silence, true awareness emerged.Complete attention gathered.

It observed everything, saw things as they truly were.

The mind was gently awakened, but it was reminded not to disturb the stillness.

With newfound awareness, the surrendered mind joined forces, and together, they healed the body.

The mind, the body, and awareness became whole once more, living on in health and harmony.

A Word from the Author:Right now, in this very moment, ask yourself:

"What am I thinking?"

Find the dominant thought within you—the one ruling over you.You are likely holding onto it with a strong emotion.

Forget everything you know for just a moment, and let go of that thought—right now.

This is the shortest path.

May your journey be clear…
