REIKI AND YOGA

A few years after discovering Reiki, I developed an interest in yoga.

Each spiritual practice has its own system. If a system is right for you, committing to it and practicing it correctly will bring benefits. However, engaging in multiple healing techniques or teachings simultaneously may create energetic confusion. You might spend some time searching for the practice that resonates with you, but once you find it, you will know.

It All Started with My Desire to Become a Yoga Instructor

Yoga practice first involves encountering the mind and ego. Specifically, working with bioenergy involves movements that begin externally through the body and gradually shift inward. When I say external to internal, I mean the energetic work done on the ego, mind, and body, which we often identify as the "self."

  • In yoga, the physical body is the starting point.

  • The mind is perceived through the body.

  • Bioenergy continuously flows upward, from the lower chakras to the higher ones.

During yoga movements, a person confronts their true nature and begins a purification process—a journey from the body to the mind.

Depending on the chakras that are active or blocked, yoga can either enhance energy flow or create restrictions in certain areas. Only through years of disciplined training under an experienced yoga master can a person refine their ego, body, and aura. With time, blocked or misaligned chakras begin to open and balance under the master’s guidance.

Chakral Imbalances and Their Effects

Imbalances in the chakra system can lead to intense personal experiences. Some individuals experience excessive opening in the lower three chakras (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus), while others experience overexpansion in the upper chakras (Heart, Throat, Third Eye, Crown).

  • Overactive Lower Chakras & Restricted Upper Chakras:

    • Excessive anger

    • Strong material attachment

    • Overindulgence in sexuality

    • Greed for money

    • Heightened bioenergy leading to manipulative tendencies

    • A deep sense of dissatisfaction

  • Overactive Upper Chakras & Restricted Lower Chakras:

    • Disconnection from reality, feeling "ungrounded"

    • Financial difficulties, lack of material stability

    • Inability to balance giving and receiving

    • Excessive attachment to religious or spiritual beliefs

    • Loss of joy in life, detachment from the physical body

    • Mental fog, confusion, difficulty making decisions

    • Struggles with turning ideas into reality

The ultimate goal of yoga is to bring all chakras into balance, leading to self-discovery and inner truth. This is why I believe yoga should be practiced as a long-term journey with the guidance of a skilled teacher.

Advice for Yoga Practitioners

For those practicing yoga, the key is to identify and address personal imbalances while maintaining equilibrium.

The word "yoga" comes from the Sanskrit term "yuj", meaning to unite, bind, or yoke. At its core, yoga is about experiencing balance in mind, body, and soul, allowing us to be fully present. This aligns with the first sutra of yoga:

"Atha Yoga Anushasanam" – Yoga is happening now.

Patanjali, the sage who documented the earliest texts on yoga, provided a structured roadmap to guide practitioners on this path.

Balance is essential in all aspects of life. Recognizing imbalances is a crucial part of the spiritual journey.

Reiki vs. Yoga: Two Paths to Purification

Unlike yoga, Reiki works from the inside out.

  • In Yoga: The journey starts with the body and mind before progressing toward the true self (the essence).

  • In Reiki: The process begins with an initiation (attunement) that softens and cleanses the aura, opening and purifying the chakras to directly connect with the source.

Reiki brings inner purification and self-awareness, leading to deep insights about the ego and mind. It is often gentle but can sometimes be a strict teacher. Reiki fosters self-love and self-discovery, helping us navigate our spiritual growth.

My Personal Recommendations for Combining Reiki & Yoga

For those who practice both Reiki and Yoga, I offer some practical advice based on my own experience:

1️⃣ Use Reiki to Balance Yourself Before and After Yoga

  • To maintain harmony, always do Reiki balancing exercises before and after your yoga sessions.

2️⃣ Protect Your Energy Before Group Yoga Sessions

  • In large yoga classes, energy fields (auras) become intertwined.

  • Practitioners at Reiki 2, 3A, 3B, or Light Levels should use Reiki symbols for energetic protection before entering such environments.

3️⃣ If You Experience Imbalances, Pause Yoga & Observe Yourself

  • If your lower chakras are overactive while your upper chakras are restricted, or vice versa:

    • Take a break from yoga.

    • Observe your thoughts, emotions, and body signals.

    • Use Reiki techniques like the 14 Movements or 9 Movements daily until you feel balanced.

    • Perform chakra cleansing and balancing exercises every two days.

Final Thoughts

I wish you awareness, balance, and success on your journey of spiritual.
