At a time when oppression had reached its peak and service had come to a standstill, one of Bediüzzaman Said Nursî’s students asked him:
"Master, what will we do? We've lost everything."
He replied:
"Put the tea on, Keçeli, we're starting over."
Sometimes, a person forgets everything they once knew...
Everything they thought they had learned, every worldly experience they believed they had mastered, vanishes.
As if they had just opened their eyes to this world for the very first time…
As if they were stranded in the middle of an unknown planet, in an unfamiliar universe…
As if they had been reset, brought back to the very beginning…
All actions give way to helplessness…
Willpower surrenders to powerlessness…
Purpose fades into uncertainty…
One feels lost.
Every life experience, every carefully woven thread of existence until that moment—
Seems like a distant, misty, fading memory...
Life turns upside down;
...
...
...
And then, from the depths of the heart, a voice rises:
"Put the tea on, we're starting over."
