HOW FOODS AFFECT OUR ENERGY (ACID AND ALKALINE ENVIRONMENT - PART 2

Updated: Mar 10

Like Yin and Yang, everything in the universe is balanced by its opposites. The acid-alkaline balance is also a balance within the body. Let’s forget about calorie counts, grams, protein diets, low-fat diets, and matchbox calculations, and focus on how much acid we carry and how much alkaline we have.

In the first section, we briefly introduced the topic of the acid and alkaline environment and discussed the definitions. What did we say? An acidic environment occurs when waste from the consumption of wrong foods accumulates in the body, overwhelming the body's capacity for cleaning, defense, and repair, leading to the pollution of all tissues. The antidote to acid is increasing alkalinity. When acid-induced damage in a cell increases, there is a loss of function in the tissue created by that cell, and as the damage grows, disease occurs in the corresponding organ.

What’s important is the state of the food after digestion. Why? Because the body, due to its metabolism, must create acid waste daily and clean it. If we choose foods that generate acid waste, the acidification in our body increases. Cleaning becomes more difficult. Uncleaned acids are stored in fat deposits. As acidification increases, the body struggles to burn fat.

The storage of fat due to acid waste is so important that it’s an unknown hidden topic in our diets, especially if we’re trying to lose weight. To protect us, our body stores the waste it cannot eliminate in fat. If it were the other way around, acid waste would harm our tissues, and as we mentioned earlier, excess waste damages our organs. That’s why only when we create an alkaline environment can the acid waste stored in fat deposits be easily eliminated without causing harm.

With an alkaline diet, we can easily expel this waste and lose weight more easily. If we are consuming very few calories and still cannot lose weight, let’s remember this point. The body’s resistance mechanism is also a part of the body’s working system to protect us. We may think that no matter how hard we try, we can’t lose weight, and then mental and physical exhaustion sets in. This becomes a vicious cycle.

To support this beautifully functioning mechanism, if we carefully choose the foods we eat and drink, in short, if we create an alkaline environment, we make its job much easier. Is it easy to make a choice among so many options? Of course, it’s not that easy; our heads get confused, and there is too much information around. Let’s recall the old ways: eating vegetables in season, preparing winter supplies in season, and staying away from packaged foods. Small efforts starting from here can lead to great results.

The cause of most diseases, including cancer, is acidification. It’s worth considering how much waste the food we eat will leave behind while eating. With love…
