HOW CAN WE SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS?

The fundamental reason for our unhappiness and our tendency to dwell in purposeless depressive emotions is our lack of self-awareness and our search for peace in the external world rather than within ourselves. Human beings are both material and spiritual entities. We have both a visible and an invisible side, and the invisible side is the essential one. In recent years, with technological advancements and increasingly challenging living conditions, we have become more engaged with the material world for survival, distancing ourselves from spirituality. By spirituality, I mean the ability to be alone with oneself and to make discoveries within one's inner world.
Many religions and spiritual teachings describe how the Creator has hidden reality and true knowledge within us, leaving it to our own efforts to uncover them. This knowledge cannot be attained through the mind; in fact, the mind is often seen as an obstacle to accessing it. To reach true knowledge—the thoughtless space within—a calm and purified mind is necessary. Just as the depths of the ocean become visible when the water is still and clear, the true realm within us can be seen with a tranquil and purified mind.
As you may know, there are four main brainwave states: Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta (there is also Gamma, which I will discuss later).

From the moment we wake up, we almost immediately start thinking. I believe very few people wake up feeling joyful, laughing, and full of enthusiasm. Most of us begin our day with thoughts like, "What should I wear today? Is my child's breakfast ready? Has the school bus arrived? I shouldn't be late! Hurry, hurry!" or "Ugh, another identical day... I don't even feel like getting up."
Our brains operate in a constant problem-solving mode, perceiving everything as an issue to be solved. From morning until bedtime, our minds endlessly process information in an attempt to find solutions. This analytical thinking process causes our brains to emit beta frequencies, especially when negative emotions are involved, making the brain waves even more intense.
However, if we remain aware of our actions without getting lost in the process or if we consciously engage in them with ease and enjoyment, then we are in alpha state.
The theta state is characterized by fewer brain waves, and delta even fewer, signifying deep calm. In the theta state, suppressed memories, thoughts, and hidden truths from the subconscious mind often emerge. Many times, solutions to problems that previously seemed unsolvable suddenly appear in this frequency.
As I mentioned earlier, imagine an ocean. In its depths, solutions to everything in your life already exist. But when the surface is turbulent, the water becomes murky, and you can’t see what’s below. Moreover, strong waves can sink a ship. This is exactly how a restless mind works. Emotions like anger, resentment, excitement, arrogance, and anxiety, along with negative thoughts, increase brain wave frequency and intensity. This heightened state pushes a person toward aggression or emotional breakdown—just like a ship sinking in rough waters. Additionally, when the mind is overly consumed with thoughts, it fails to recognize the solution that already exists. In most cases, the solution is simple and right there; all you need is a calm and clear mind to see it.
Practice meditation, listen to calming music, walk in nature, observe the natural world, and practice Reiki. Free your mind from unnecessary thoughts, don’t overstimulate it—soothe it. Shift from beta frequency to other, calmer states. And then watch how solutions to the problems you've been overthinking suddenly appear from unexpected places.
Stay in alpha with love...
