We often try to define love.
“Love is healing,” says Mevlana.
There are expressions like, “You came like a medicine, you did me good.” How true that is, because the people we love make us feel better.
Love is one of the most fundamental and valued emotions. It is often thought of in connection with concepts like tolerance, compassion, patience, longing, respect, and forgiveness, and this is true.
When we talk about love, let's not just think of romantic love. We are talking about love in general. For example, sibling love, love for God, love for friends, love for cats, love for flowers, love for children, and so on.
At the core of everything is love and the absence of love. Both are very powerful emotions. The presence of love brings happiness and makes us feel good, while its absence leaves deep effects on human psychology. The lack of love can lead to feelings of low self-worth, unhappiness, depression, worthlessness, and insecurity.
You don’t need to be a professor to say that the root of psychological disorders is the lack of love. 😊
“Love heals.”
Being loving, tolerant, and forgiving brings peace. Despite everything, we must love.
While love warms our hearts and heals us, negative emotions like jealousy and anger affect our lives negatively and lower our quality of life. They cause us to enjoy life less and damage our social interactions, relationships, and communication with others.
I would like to share an unforgettable quote from the book The Sweet Orange:
“I believe this: love can make a person do anything, and so can the absence of love.”
It is evident that a person growing up in an environment filled with love will have a different approach to life than one who grows up without love. If love is in our essence, our outlook on life, our values, and our behaviors will reflect this.
Love is being sensitive to everyone and everything.
Love is hope. Love is life. And it is love that binds us together; it is love that makes us “us.”
In this final article of the year, I wanted to talk about love. It’s the last one, but I’m not saying goodbye to you; with good wishes, beautiful feelings, and a love-filled HELLO, I greet you.
Life is beautiful with hellos and, despite everything, with love, isn’t it?
With love…
